Brand and Logo Power!!!!!

Signs, logos, brands, and insignias are some really powerful stuff people. This are examples of just one of the organizational symbols that form cultures within groups.

Organizational symbols as the logos and signs are what you associate with a particular entity. Although technically not a group, superheroes all bring with them an insignia and logo. Who does not know the the famous "S" symbol of superman or the bat insignia of Batman. See how powerful symbols are? If I were to show you some of the famous symbols of heroes you would already know that hero and immediately an image of that hero would pop into your mind. The power of symbols comes from the power of association. How many times have you seen that big yellow "M" sign up in the city horizon and quickly think of a famous fast food chain?

Even in simple products you see in the grocery. Brand messaging is most effective if the people are frequently exposed to that products logo or company logo. Familiarity urges people to choose a certain product over another. The company logo of Uniliver brings with it a sense trust from its buyers. Even though logos are just mere drawings they bring with them the whole image of the company. It is important to have a logo or brand image that sticks to minds of its consumers for better brand messaging.

The age old phrase of "A business without a sign is a sign of no business."
and look away from the logos and brands!!!!! They have hypno powers!!! @_@

  1. Indeed, these logos and signs are necessary for effective marketing. Just like me, I rely on familiarity most of the time whenever I purchase something, since it gives me a sense of assurance that my money would go to a tried and tested product. This is really important to consumers because it determines whether you'll go for the same product net time or you'll consider trying out something else.

  2. Logos are like signatures, they are unique and they can be quickly associated with someone or something. We become too familiar with these logos and that is how we recognize most stuff. Logos are much simpler and easier too recognize than the full name of a business or brand.

  3. I have to agree that logos in a way define an organization. And you know what I found, the simpler the logos are, the better and the more you could actually appreciate it. I think in creating logos you only have to think of two things 1 is simplicity and 2 is how you could associate it with the organization's name and purpose. In Ateneo, I think one of the organizations with wonderful logo is Ateneo Debate Society. Their logo is plain ads with the full name of their organization below it. No matter how simple their logo is, it says a lot about the org. One thing that the logo could mean is that the organization values simplicity and conciseness just like in debating. You don't need highfalutin words in debating you just have to be able to deliver your message clearly and effectively; just like ADS's logo.
